Gioachino lo Cascio is born 4 December 1767 and baptized the next day. He is the son of Leoluca lo Cascio and Maria Rizzotto. His godparents are Francesco Maringo and Pascha, wife of Stefano lo Cascio.[1] Pascha is Leoluca's father's second wife.
Although Gioachino is the first born son, he is not named after either grandfather, as would be traditional.
